Alèco Savvas serves as QP’s Co-Chief Investment Officer, with concentration on alternative investments and private market products. This key role focuses on alternative investment assessment, risk management, and portfolio construction. Utilizing his expertise in private markets and QP’s due diligence process, Alèco identifies and vets alternative investment opportunities and then counsels clients on strategy, placement, and performance results. His dedication, analytical acumen, and strategic insight make him an asset to our team, consistently driving our investment strategies to meet portfolio needs.
Alèco joined QP as a Financial Analyst and advanced his role over the years through his continuous quest for knowledge and top-tier service to clients. He is passionate about solving complex financial challenges and creating tailored solutions to help clients grow and succeed. For him, it’s about delivering consistent excellence and value in all that he does.
Committed to professional development, Alèco successfully passed Level I of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst program (CAIA) and is actively preparing for Level II. Alèco graduated summa cum laude from Lynn University with an MBA in Financial Valuation and Investment Management and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Ottawa University (summa cum laude).
Before setting up his career path, Alèco moved to Cyprus at fifteen to pursue his professional soccer career and spent 2 years playing professionally in southern Europe. His goal was always to manage and invest his own capital, using professional sport as the conduit to do so.
Outside the office, Alèco and his wife spend their time cycling, golfing, and watching formula 1. His ideal weekend is a good cup of coffee paired with a private placement memorandum or market research.
