Thom serves as the lead portfolio manager at QP Management Group. His knowledge of fixed income, equities, and options strategies is the core of his more than 12 years of asset management experience. Thom is an avid researcher, always striving to uncover new opportunities to complement client portfolios as well as mitigate tax burden.
He earned his Certified Portfolio Manager® (CPM®) designation, completed at Columbia University, and is a current member of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers.
Prior to co-founding QP Wealth Management, Thom spent nine years at Morgan Stanley, and three years as an independent options trader. Thom’s unique journey includes having attended the New School for Social Research in Manhattan. There, Warner Brothers hired him as a Reader and Junior Story Analyst. Lucky for us, Thom eventually discovered his talent and passion for the world of finance — but only after an exciting career in the motion picture industry.
Thom grew up in the Two Rivers area. He now he lives in Fair Haven with his wife, Shelley, their daughter, Anneka, and their dogs, Archer and Biscuit. As an animal lover, Thom has opened his home to friendly pigs, goats, lion and tiger cubs, monkeys, and even a hybrid wolf. In his free time, Thom loves hunting and skeet shooting. Ever inventive, Thom also enjoys molecular gastronomy and has built his own curing chamber for pancetta and prosciutto de parma and has added a 3d printer to his collection.
